Michael Tevort, 30, Heyworth, was arrested and charged with Domestic Btry/Physical Contact. Tevort, being un-able to post the necessary bond, remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.
Investigation into an accident which occurred at 0825 on January 26th revealed that Mark Lane, 73, of Wapella was approaching a parking space in front of the Wapella post office when the driver’s foot slipped off the brake. Lane continued rolling forward, striking the flag post near the side walk. Crose backed up and put the vehicle in park. There were no visible signs of injuries and none were reported.
Brian Crose, 44, Decatur, was issued a citation for speeding (74 mph in a 45 mph zone). Crose was issued a promise to comply and was released.
Stephen Johnson, 61, Farmer City was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear. Johnson posted the necessary bond and was released.
Eric Koshinshi, 24, Clinton was issued a Citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Koshinshi was issued a notice to appear and was released.
Arthur Pride, 53, Wapella was arrested and charged with Driving Under Influence Alcohol. Pride was issued Citations for Driving Under Influence, Operate Uninsured Vehicle, Failure to Reduce Speed/ Accident, Improper Lane Usage and Driving to Fast for Conditions. Pride unable to post the necessary bond remains lodged in the DeWitt County Jail.
James Dunn, 41, Decatur was arrested and charged with Driving on Suspended License. Dunn was issued Citations for Driving While License Suspended and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Dunn posted the necessary bond and was released.
Michael Finger, 27, Wapella was arrested and charged with Driving Under Influence Alcohol. Finger posted the necessary bond and was released.
Robert Althouse, 26, LeRoy was arrested and charged with Driving Under Influence Alcohol. Althouse was issued Citations for Driving in Wrong Lane, 2 Counts Driving Under Influence and Illegal Transportation Alcohol. Althouse posted the necessary bond and was released.
Cree Shumaker, 20, Clinton was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging her with Delivery Controlled Substance/ Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Diazepam). Shumaker posted the necessary bond and was released.
Craig Williams, 50, Heyworth was issued a Citation for Speeding 71 MPH in a 55 MPH Zone. Williams was issued a promise to comply and was released.
Daren Benson, 35, Lincoln was issued a Citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Benson was issued a notice to appear and was released.
Chad Gordy, 42, Decatur was issued a Citation for Speeding 70 MPH in a 55 MPH Zone. Gordy was issued a promise to comply and was released.
