Zach Fisher and Noah Freemon exploded in the second half Tuesday night and the Monticello Sages went for 48 second half points en route to a 72-62 victory of Tolono Unityfrom the Rocket Center.
The Rockets held the two dynamic Sages guards to a combined seven points in the first half, maintaining a 25-23 advantage, but could not hold them down for 32 minutes.
Fisher scored 16 points in the second half and Freemon added 15 and Monticello used a huge second half to down archrival Tolono-Unity.
Fisher finished with 20 and Freemond with 18. Isiah Florey finished a rebound short of a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.
For the Sages, they improve to 16-4 overall and 5-2 in the Okaw Valley. Unity drops to 14-7 and just 2-5 in league play.
Monticello hits the road Friday night to take on Maroa-Forsyth at 7:30 pm.
