St. Thomas More made a late charge after trailing by eight, but could not overcome a sharp shooting attack by the Monticello Sages, as Monticello took down the Sabres 63-60.
The Sages were on point from long distance as they shot 48 percent from three, draining 10 of 21 attempts and shot 40 percent from the floor.
Noah Freemon paced the Sages with 23 points and Zach Fisher chipped in with 21.
Clay Becker snatched eight boards in 18 minutes and Isiah Florey added six points and seven rebounds off the bench.
Doug Wallen led the 11-14 Sabres with 16 points and David Horn added 15 points. St. Thomas More drops to 4-5 in the Okaw Valley Conference.
Monticello, who moves to 17-5 overall and 7-2 in the Okaw Valley Conference, has now won three straight after dropping two straight earlier this month.
The Sages finish off their regular season Friday night at home taking on St. Joseph Ogden.
