Local Lawmakers React To Governor's Budget Address

After the Governor's budget address this past Wednesday, local lawmakers are praising the new Governor for, among other things, his honesty.

State Senator Chapin Rose says Illinois has to start doing more with less. The Senator says unlike previous years, Gov. Bruce Rauner gave the assessment of all is not well.

Sen. Bill Brady calls the address "short and to the point". He says Gov. Rauner's proposed budget balances expenses with revenue and prioritizes what the state needs to do.
