Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp each scored during the shootout in Chicago's 3-2 victory over the Florida Panthers, but the Blackhawks lost star forward Patrick Kane during the game.

Kane exited midway through the first period with an upper-body injury after being cross-checked by Florida defenseman Alex Petrovic. He got up under his own power after falling into the boards awkwardly, but skated straight to the dressing room.

Kris Versteeg and Toews each lit the lamp during regulation for the Blackhawks, while rookie Scott Darling made 34 saves and stopped both Florida skaters in the shootout to earn the win.

Jussi Jokinen and Vincent Trocheck each scored late goals for the Panthers and Roberto Luongo turned aside 36 shots in the loss.

Florida has now lost six straight games to the Blackhawks and has not won in Chicago since Dec. 16, 2007.
