He was named to his first career Pro Bowl and became just the fifth player in team history to register 90-plus receptions in a season.

The St. Louis Rams announced the release of offensive linemen Jake Long and Scott Wells on Monday.

A Michigan product who was a 2008 pick of the Dolphins, Long signed with St. Louis prior to the 2013 season. He made 22 starts during his two seasons with the Rams, but was limited to seven appearances last season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

But NFL.com reported Monday that Gore has "pulled out" of the pending deal with the Eagles and is considering signing with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Eagles are in the market for a starting running back with LeSean McCoy set to be traded to Buffalo on Tuesday.

Gore, who will turn 32 in May, has spent his entire 10-year career with the 49ers. The five-time Pro Bowler has accumulated 11,073 yard on the ground with 64 touchdowns in 148 career games.

>>Texans Release WR Johnson

The Houston Texans have released wide receiver Andre Johnson after they were unable to work out a trade.

Johnson, 33, had two years remaining on his contract and would have counted $16.1 million against the salary cap in 2015.

Johnson was the longest-tenured and best offensive player in the history of the Texans, who drafted him third overall in 2003.

The Miami-Florida product caught 85 passes for 936 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games last season. A seven-time Pro Bowl selection, Johnson departs Houston after catching 1,012 passes for 13,597 yards and 64 touchdowns in 169 games.
