Spieth up to career-best 6th in world rankings

width=Jordan Spieth drained a 28-foot putt on the third playoff hole to win a wild Valspar Championship over Patrick Reed and Sean O'Hair on Sunday, which propelled Spieth up to a career-best sixth in the world rankings.

Spieth, who picked up his second career victory on the PGA Tour, jumped four spots from No. 10 to No. 6.

There was no movement inside the top-5 as Rory McIlroy remained firmly in control of the No. 1 spot. He was followed yet again by Bubba Watson, Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott and Jason Day from two.

With Spieth jumping four spots, Jim Furyk dropped one from six to seven. While Sergio Garcia held steady at No. 8, WGC-Cadillac Championship winner Dustin Johnson fell two to No. 9 and Justin Rose dropped one spot to No. 10.

Rickie Fowler, Martin Kaymer, Jimmy Walker and Matt Kuchar all remained Nos. 11-14 and Reed improved one to No. 15. Reed traded spots with Hideki Matsuyama, who fell to 16.

Billy Horschel and Brooks Koepka stayed put at 17 and 18, while Victor Dubuisson and J.B. Holmes swapped places, with Dubuisson up one to 19 and Holmes down to 20.
