Local citizens will have an opportunity to hear from many 2015 candidates on Tuesday night

The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, in partnership with WHOW THE BIG 1520 AM/92.3 FM, WEZC 95.9FM & DeWitt DailyNews.com, will host a “Meet the Candidates Night” for all of the city council candidates for the City of Clinton and candidates for the Clinton Unit School District #15 Board of Education. The event is open to the public with no admission and will be held in the Clinton Community High School auditorium. Excutive Director of the Clinton Chamber Marian Brisard says anyone with any interest in their community are invited.

There are 18 candidates on this year's ballot who will be participating in the forum. Brisard notes there has been some confusion regarding the voting process this year but says reading the ballot carefully should clear it up.

This year will be the first to include the candidates for school board along with other city offices. Brisard mentions the additons to the forum should work well for the community.

The event will take place at 6pm and will be broadcast live on WHOW 92.3 FM, on Clinton Cable Channel 13, and will also be streamed live on DewittDailyNews.com. The public is invited to attend and gain knowledge about the candidates.
