Entrance to Capitol Crumbling

Some people might need to find a new way to get into the state Capitol as concerns have been raised over brickwork high above one of the building’s entrances.

The north entrance is being restricted to individuals with passes that wouldn’t have to wait outside under the overhang. The Secretary of State office says that workers noticed some flaking on the brickwork and further examination reveals it needs to be shored up.

Staying on the side of caution the entrance will be restricted to individuals with passes that don’t have wait in line to go through security, often groups cause lines that snake out of the doors and create gatherings of people standing under the roof in question.
