Mason Leads Flyers Past Blackhawks

width=Steve Mason turned away 34 pucks and four different players lit the lamp as Philadelphia claimed a surprise 4-1 victory over Chicago on Wednesday.

Wayne Simmonds, Ryan White, Claude Giroux and Michael Raffl scored once each for the Flyers, who put a four-game losing streak to bed against one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

Philadelphia, which is on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff chase, recorded just its second regulation win in the last 10 games (2-4-4).

In addition, the Orange and Black are 9-1-4 in their last 14 games against teams currently in playoff position while an incomprehensible 0-6-3 against teams which would not be included in postseason play at present.

Andrew Shaw provided the sole offense while Corey Crawford made 29 saves for the Blackhawks, who completed a four-game road swing with a 2-2 record.
