Bulls Searching For Consistency As Cavs Await; NBA Notes

width=The Chicago Bulls are about to face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, and even they aren't quite sure which team will show up.

That's because they were as inconsistent as anyone during the season.

The ups and downs continued in the first round against Milwaukee, so good luck trying to figure out which version of the Bulls will take to the court in Cleveland on Monday night.

Will it be the one that dropped Game 5 at home against the Bucks? Or the one that delivered one of the most lopsided playoff beatings ever in Game 6 at Milwaukee?

Mike Dunleavy Jr. acknowledges the Bulls have been "up and down" for a variety of reasons.

>>Warriors Blast Grizzlies In Game 1

Make it three months and counting since the Golden State Warriors have lost in front of their raucous fans.

Stephen Curry had 22 points, seven assists and four steals and the Warriors routed the Memphis Grizzlies 101-86 on Sunday in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series.

The Warriors went 39-2 at Oracle Arena during the regular season and have won the last 21 games in their building -- including three postseason games. They haven't lost at home since Jan. 27, when the Chicago Bulls beat them 113-111 in overtime.

Courtney Lee's 3-pointer 21 seconds into the game was the only time Golden State trailed.

The Warriors hadn't played since finishing off a sweep of the New Orleans Pelicans last Saturday.

Game 2 is Tuesday, again in Oakland.

There's still no timetable for Memphis guard Mike Conley's return from a facial fracture, but he traveled with the team and watched on from the bench. His left eye was still visibly swollen. He suffered the injury in Game 3 of the Portland series and missed the final two games of the set after undergoing surgery for the fractures.

>>Wizards Top Hawks In Game 1

Bradley Beal and John Wall overcame injury scares in the Washington Wizards' 104-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Beal (right ankle sprain) and Wall (left wrist sprain) battled to score 28 and 18 points, respectively, for Washington on Sunday. Wall also had 13 assists and three blocks.

Paul Pierce ended with 19 points for the Wizards, who had been off for a week since sweeping the Toronto Raptors in the first round. Marcin Gortat tallied 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Wizards became the first team in NBA history to win four straight Game 1s on the road.

DeMarre Carroll scored 21 of his 24 points in the first half for the top- seeded Hawks, who needed six games to eliminate the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round. Al Horford recorded 17 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists.

Jeff Teague played through a right ankle sprain and finished with 11 points and seven assists.

Game 2 will be Tuesday night in Atlanta.

>>Curry To Be NBA's MVP

Stephen Curry will reportedly beat out James Harden for the NBA's Most Valuable Player Award.

The Golden State Warriors guard will be named the MVP as early as Monday and is likely to receive the trophy in a ceremony prior to Tuesday's Game 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 27-year-old sixth-year point guard averaged 23.8 points and 7.7 assists per game this season. He shot 44.3 percent from beyond the arc and led the NBA in free throw shooting at 91.4 percent.
