As heard on 95.9 FM WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, the Monticello Lady Sages used two big innings to ten-run Decatur St. Teresa, 11-1, Monday afternoon.

Megan Taylor started in the circle for the Lady Sages. She went five innings, allowing just a run on an Ashlee Knapik homerun. She struck out four and walked only one.

The Lady Sages scored five in the first, then finished the game with a 4-run fifth to close the game out.

Layne Buzan finished 3-for-4 with a solo home run and three RBIs. Sophie Catlin, Ashley Gulliford, and Jenny Hinton collected a pair of RBIs apiece, each finishing 1-for-3.

Megan Magsaman crossed the plate twice and Sam Valentine finished 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Monticello improves to 24-4 on the season.
