State Senator Sam McCann wants to see more heavy metal in Illinois. We're not talking about concerts. McCann is asking for help from Washington in boosting the struggling steel industry. The Illinois Senate has passed a resolution asking the President and the Congress to impose tariffs on steel produced in foreign countries....

The resolution was motivated by the recent news the US Steel will lay off more than 2,000 workers in Granite City. Domestic steel makers are losing sales to China, Korea and other foreign countries as critics say they are "dumping" products into the U.S. market below fair market value.
