Lincoln Festival Expands to Four Events in June

One of Lincoln's most popular annual events will take a new form beginning in June.

The Lincoln Art and Balloon Festival has been expanded to four separate weekends over the summer. The event has grown over the last few years and its organizers decided to expand it to protect all the different components. Andi Hake, Executive Director of the Logan County Alliance, says bad weather last year was a hit to each section of the festival.

The first event of the festival will be Lincoln Pigs & Swigs the first weekend of June. The weekend will feature the barbeque contest along with craft fairs, flea markets and car show. Hake notes these events always have a great turnout.

This year will also see a new craft beer event coincide with the other events. Hake notes the Logan County Farm Bureau will also be a part of the weekend's festivities as well.

Lincoln Pigs and Swigs will take place June 5 through the 7th. Hake hopes the expanded event will allow guests and volunteers to be able to experience everything the festival has to offer.
