Exelon Hosting Community Open House Thursday

 width=The Exelon Nuclear Power Station in Clinton is inviting the public out tomorrow afternoon for a special open house event.

From 3 to 6 pm, Exelon will open up their training center with literature on the power plant, their clean energy initiative and other information relating to nuclear power. According to Brett Nauman, Communication Director with Exelon, employees of the plant will be on hand to field questions from the public.

Nauman says having events like the Thursday open house allows the plant and it's employees to remain connected to the community. He notes it gives surrounding residents the ability to informed of the operations at the plant as well.

The event is open to the public. Nauman notes traffic should not go towards the plant, but a smaller building on the grounds.

Again the event runs from 3 pm to 6 pm at the power station off Route 54, east of Clinton.
