Senator Dick Durbin says labeling meat with the country it came from is a good idea, even if it's difficult to do in some cases.
Durbin says the difficulty in labeling was pointed out to him recently by the Canadian consul general.

The House voted to eliminate the labels yesterday. Durbin says the labels provide information consumers would like to have. He points to a recent Consumer Reports study showing shrimp imported from various countries had a wide range of safety problems.
