Local Senator Curious To See What Happens With Budget

As the deadline nears for the General Assembly to construct and pass a budget, one local senator says things seem to be pointing towards a budget being passed.

Senator Bill Brady says Democrats seem to have removed themselves from the negotiating process and appear to be poised to pass their own budget.

The Reform Agenda Governor Rauner has been pushing is essentially economic growth to create jobs. Sen. Brady says Illinois is the only state to not pass those types of reforms, which is setting them back.

Sunday is the deadline for the state to pass a budget. Governor Bruce Rauner must first sign it, or make amendments to it.
