Cowboys Sign Former Illini WR Jenkins

width=The Dallas Cowboys have signed wide receiver A.J. Jenkins.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jenkins was waived by the Chiefs in February after playing two seasons with Kansas City. He was acquired by the Chiefs in a trade with San Francisco prior to the 2013 campaign.

The 49ers selected the Illinois product with the 30th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He appeared in three regular-season games and two playoff games as a rookie with the 49ers and played sparingly in two seasons with the Chiefs.

Jenkins caught 17 passes for 223 yards in 25 games for the Chiefs, including just nine receptions for 93 yards in nine games last season.
