After a wet, cool and slow spring, the completion of the demolition projects at two former Clinton school district buildings appears to be in sight.
The demolition of the former Washington and Webster Elementary buildings began in December, and six months later, the final stages are finally beginning. According to Dr. Jeff Holmes, grass seed is planted and he hopes to have substantial growth over the next month.

Dr. Holmes stresses the district will continue to maintain the two properties. He says it will be up to their maintenance crews to keep those mowed and groomed. He points out, the future of the properties is still undetermined.

Last week, grass seed was finally able to be dropped at the sites. The district had hoped to see the property green and full of grass by the first of May, but a wet and cool spring delayed that time line.
