The jobless rate across the area has improved in the last month as April statistics were released earlier this week.
DeWitt County registered a 4.6% unemployment rate, nearly a full percent drop from March.
The jobless rate in Piatt County dropped a full percent, to 3.9% in March.
A 4.5-percent unemployment rate in April was down from 5.6% in March for Logan County.
Unemployment in Macon County continues to improve. The jobless rate in Macon County for April was 5.9% down from 7% in March.
The jobless rate in Champaign County was 4.1%. Sangamon County had a 4.3% jobless rate.
The April unemployment rate statewide was 5.5% compared to the national average of 5.1%.
