It’s hard to see a way towards a state budget by the end of the weekend.
Yesterday, Governor Bruce Rauner told Democrats he will not sign the budget that they have been crafting. That spending plan is about $3 billion out of whack when it comes to spending and revenue. Rauner says that he won’t have anything to do with it.
Rauner says that compromise starts with a freeze on property taxes and passing his reforms on workers compensation.
