DNR Officials Discuss Baby Animals

Whether you live in the cities or countrysides of central Illinois, you've likely noticed baby animals running around this time of year.

As you encounter these animals, Department of Natural Resources officials have some friendly reminders as you do so. Ben Schultz, a DNR Conservation Police Officer says to first and foremost, leave them alone. He encourages not touching them or feeding them.

Schultz says the DNR website has great information on dealing with animals that may be lingering around your home or getting help to animals that may need special attention.

He encourages checking out dnr.illinois.gov for whatever natural resource information you may need.
