If you are into barbeque, beer or whiskey, Lincoln is the place to be this weekend.
Five years ago, the community of Lincoln introduced a barbeque event to the annual Art and Balloon Festival that took place late in the summer. Now the event, called "Pigs and Swigs", is going to be a stand alone event. According to Nicole Cox, Director of the Lincoln Chamber and Cara Barr, Activities Organizer with the Chamber, they will have the barbeque competition, craft beer tastings and the annual Sunday car show.
Thanks to the Young Professionals Network of Logan County, there will be a beer tasting this weekend as well. According to Cox, they were able to secure some local breweries as well as well known regional brewers.
The event was one of the big draws as a part of the annual Art and Balloon Festival, and Cox says the weekend got to be packed with so much, organizers decided to break the event up into four separate events, opening up with the "Pigs and Swigs" this weekend.
