House Passes Workers Comp Measures

The proposed measures addressing workers’ comp don’t move the ball forward to make the state’s business climate more welcoming--and actually could make things more litigious.

That’s according to Republicans in the Illinois House as they voted against several amendments to a measure Democrats say was an effort to find compromise with Governor Bruce Rauner.

The amended measure, House Bill 1287, passed along party lines and now heads to the Senate.
