Farm Progress Expanding Decatur Site

width=The "Super Bowl of Agriculture" returns to central Illinois in just a few months, and this year's visitors to the Farm Progress Show will see an expanded show site in Decatur.

Matt Jungmann (Young-man), National Events Manager for Penton Farm Progress, indicates preliminary plans are currently underway to permanently expand the Progress City site in Decatur. He says the popularity of the Farm Progress Show with both visitors and exhibitors continues to grow, thus calling for the need for more space.

Over the past two years the Farm Progress Show has utilized an "annex" that featured additional exhibitors not included on the permanent show sites in Decatur and Boone, Iowa. Jungmann says this proposed expansion will not be additional annex space, but an actual expansion of the permanent Decatur site.

While final plans have not been officially announced, Jungmann expects the expansion to be in place for this fall's show. He credits all of the entities involved with making the project possible.
