According to Wilson, the new Illinois learning standards, also known as common core, have been a focal point of the district for the better part of five years. She indicates they've worked with the Regional Office of Education to make sure they are headed in the right direction.

Wilson indicates they've had a handful of other subjects that have had to adjust to new standards, and feels the department heads for those areas have worked hard to make the adjustments. She applauds the dedication of the staff to meet the challenge of adjusting to the new standards.
