Exelon Lends Hand in Improving Clinton Parks

Friday morning, dozens of Exelon employees turned out to help community a pair of parks in Clinton.

Volunteers from the Clinton Exelon Nuclear Power station turned out to Kiwanis Park to help spruce up and even repair much needed areas of the wearing equipment. According to Exelon Communications Director, Brett Nauman, the volunteers also lent a hand at Woodard Park.

Clinton City Administrator Tim Followell indicates the planning for Exelon to provide assistance at the parks was in the works for around a month and he wasn't sure what to expect for a turnout but was very pleased by the numbers they drew.

Followell says the work done by the Exelon volunteers Friday was very appreciated and feels they are a model for what companies should do when they say they want to give back.

Nauman says it is great to have a partner in the City of Clinton and to be able to give back to them in that partnership.
