Miller Park Zoo Welcomes New Snow Leopards

The Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington recently welcomed into the world two baby snow leopards.

According to Zoo Superintendent Jay Tetzloff, their staff has been hands on with them the last few weeks because they are separated from their mother. Tetzloff says the two cubs will never be in exhibit with their parents either.

The two female baby snow leopards are still a few months away from having their own exhibit. According to Tetzloff, they are being raised in their veterinary office at which point they will be put out on exhibit.

The snow leopard cubs will stay at the zoo until next fall. Tetzloff heads a national team that decides what to do with all the snow leopard's that need a home and he says they will be deciding where they go at a later date.
