Parents of Illinois Basketball Players Don't Believe Coach Allegations

width=The parents of a current University of Illinois women's basketball player and an incoming recruit say they don't believe the allegations seven former players made this week in a lawsuit.

The former players accuse coach Matt Bollant and former assistant coach Mike Divilbiss of treating black players poorly to try to drive them off the team.

Bob White's daughter, Chatrice, was Illinois' top player last season. Scott Kirkpatrick's daughter Jaelyne is joining the team. Both men say they believe the coaches are being wrongly accused.

The attorney for the former players, Terry Ekl, said an eighth former player could be added to the lawsuit next week.

According to reports, Kierra Morris says she now believes she was ostracized from the team after an injury because she is black.
