The wet summer has done more than hampered the progress in the fields of Illinois and the midwest, it has also put a wrench in the plans of city workers.

According to Steve Lobb, the summer maintenance work in Clinton has been completely delayed to this month because of the overabundance of rain we've received this summer.

Lobb indicates the work will take place throughout the city and they will utilize the notification system to inform where they will be. He notes once they get going, it should only take about a week.

Lobb's update was a part of the Clinton City Council meeting Monday night that lasted less than 20 minutes.
