DeAndre Jordan To Stay With LA

width=Less than a week after reportedly agreeing to join the Mavericks, DeAndre Jordan signed a contract to stay with the Los Angeles Clippers when free agent deals became official after midnight.

Reports last Friday had Jordan verbally agreeing to a four-year, $80 million deal with the Mavs, but after an apparent meeting with Clippers personnel, including All-Stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, Jordan changed his mind.

The Clippers announced the signing on their Twitter page, though terms were not disclosed.

Jordan, who turns 27 later this month, averaged career highs last season with the Clippers, scoring 11.5 points and grabbing 15 rebounds per game. He also finished third in the Defensive Player of the Year voting.

On Tuesday, Mavs owner Mark Cuban was actually fined $25,000 by the NBA for publicly confirming the signings of Jordan and Wesley Matthews before the end of the league's free agency moratorium period.
