Warner Library's Summer Reading Club Sees Increase in Participation

width=Studies have shown students who read in the summer come back to school in line with where they should be than students who don't and one local group is hoping their summer program gives kids incentives to keep reading.

The Warner Public Library's Summer Reading Club is seeing a spike in attendance in 2015. Children's Librarian, Paula Lopatic attributes this to everything taking place on the top floor of their facility this year, making everything centrally located.

Lopatic also attributes the increase in participation to the realization by parents their kids need to keep up with their reading skills away from the classroom. She adds, this is also why their summer program goes so long.

It's not too late for kids to start in on the Summer Reading Club. Lopatic says registration is easy and can be done at the library at 310 North Quincy Street.

There is also an adults summer reading club, and it is not too late to participate in that either. To learn more, stop in at the library.
