Warrensburg-Latham High School Going One-To-One

Last year, Warrensburg-Latham Schools began a pilot program for technology in the classroom, and in this upcoming school year, they will be introducing one-to-one technology at their high school.

Superintendent, Dr. Kristen Kendrick-Weikle indicates the introduction of the ChromeBooks was a huge success in the limited areas they had it. She feels it streamlined a lot of schoolwork for the their students.

Dr. Kendrick-Weikle believes having the technology in the classroom is getting the students excited about learning. She says technology is something all students are exposed to now and feels the schools need to adapt to that.

Dr. Kendrick-Weikle says always using technology is not appropriate. She believes that often comes down to the individual classroom leader's discretion. She adds students still interact and colaborate with each other and utilize teamwork concepts away from the cell phones and computers.
