Day's Hot Streak Leads To Canadian Open Win

width=Jason Day birdied his final three holes to shoot a 4-under 68 and win by one shot over Bubba Watson at the Canadian Open.

Day finished the week at 17-under-par 271 and picked up his fourth career victory on the PGA Tour. Day also won the Farmers Insurance Open in a four-way playoff in February.

Watson rallied with five birdies in his last six holes en route to a 3-under 69, but he came up one shot short. The two-time Masters champion ended alone in second at 16-under 272.

Canadian David Hearn, looking to become the first player to win his national open since Pat Fletcher in 1954, held a 2-shot lead going into the day. He finished in third at 15-under 273 following an even-par 72.

Jim Furyk carded a 3-under 69 at Glen Abbey Golf Club to finished in fourth at minus-14. Tom Hoge (66) and Stewart Cink (66) ended one shot further back in fifth at 13-under 275.

Day now has three straight top-10 finishes, with two of those coming at the U.S. Open (tie for ninth) and the British Open (tie for fourth) and has a top-10 finish in half of his starts on tour this season.

Up next on the PGA Tour is the Quicken Loans National, where Justin Rose topped Shawn Stefani in a playoff last year.
