SENATOR KWAME RAOUL SPONSORED THE BILL, AND HAS TWO CHILDREN OF HIS OWN WHO SUFFERED SPORTS RELATED CONCUSSIONS. THE NEW LAW REQUIRES A DOCTOR TO SIGN OFF BEFORE AN INJURED STUDENT CAN RETURN TO SPORTS…AND TO THE CLASSROOM.
