DeWitt County Seniors are encouraged to attend a trio of seminars to engage seniors on ways to ensure their safety.
Sissy Leggett is the Executive Director of the DeWitt County Friendship Center and a part of TRIAD. She indicates Tuesday kicks off the first of the three at the Warner Public Library. She explains topics include health and fitness, Alzheimer’s awareness and home safety.
Leggett explains TRIAD has been around for a few years now and says they aim to provide seniors of DeWitt County information and tools to better protect themselves in a time when seniors can be society's most vulnerable.
Again the seminars start Tuesday August 11, and are also August 18 and 25 at the Warner Library. For more information, contact the DeWitt County Friendship Center at 217-935-9411.
