The Illinois State Fair Kicks off its ten day run this week with the twilight parade Thursday and 6PM and the first full day of activities on Friday. There have been some location changes this year, and when you enter the fairgrounds you will be given a map that highlights the changes so you can find everything.
One major change is with the Governors Sale of Champions on Tuesday, Ag Day at the fair. The time will be moved up to 4PM and the sale will be held in the Coliseum. State Fair Manager Patrick Buchen says the move will allow more people to attend the sale, which highlight the top animals shown by the 4H kids in the Junior shows.
