The Scovill Zoo in Decatur is gearing up for their 2015 edition of their "Zoo-rific Evening" annual gala.

Ken Frye is the Director of the Zoo and indicates the event, next Saturday, August 22 will be one with plenty of entertainment, food and special interactions with the animals.

Previous gala events have used the money raised to help fund their recently installed penguin exhibit and Frye indicates, they are aiming to expand the center portion of their zoo with more water animals.

Frye indicates there is no timetable for the start of construction on a new exhibit. He says it is all dependent on when they are able to raise enough money.
