DJWH Hosted 5K Returning Apple and Pork Weekend

The hustle and bustle of the annual Apple and Pork Festival will follow a health and wellness event in Clinton.

Last year was the first year for the Dr. John Warner Hospital "Swifty Swine 5K" and organizers say it was a big success in year one. Margie Gehres heads a committee to bring the event back this year and says the first year could not have been any better.

One of the big hits at last year's 5K was the DJWH Physical Therapy Department being at the event. Gehres says they assisted a lot of runners who may have been battling various health issues throughout the race.

This year the venue at Weldon Springs will stay the same but the route will change Gehres indicates they hope to give returning participants something different to look forward to this year.
