width=If music, good food and drinks are your thing, then a Clinton Chamber hosted event this weekend is for you.

The Chamber's Barn Quilts of DeWitt County committee is teaming up with the Celebrate Clinton Association for their biennial "Red Win Blues Barn Party". Chamber Executive Director Marian Brisard calls the event "a big deal" for the Barn Quilts of DeWitt County.

In conjunction with the fundraiser for the Barn Quilts of DeWitt County Committee, the Celebrate Clinton Association will be serving food and drinks at the site as well. Brisard indicates it will coincide with the blues themed music they'll have.

For a barn owner to host a quilt on their property, the cost does not always equate to what it takes to construct it and then put it up, so according to Brisard, the Barn Party fundraiser helps the Barn Quilts of DeWitt County Committee afford the other expenses involved.

The Barn Party kicks off at 7 pm at Scotty and Lori May's farm in Rural Wapella and runs until 10 pm. For further information on the location or for ticket information, contact the Clinton Chamber of Commerce at 217-935-3364.

Saturday's forecast is calling for sunny skies and temperatures in the lower-80s.
