After last year's Lincoln Art and Balloon Festival, it was decided the nearly half a dozen events the final weekend in August hosted, would be broken up into four, smaller events in 2015.

This weekend culminates in those events with the stand alone Balloon Festival. Cara Barr, Events Coordinator at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce says she is excited with the way everything has played out this year and looks forward to this weekend's festivities at the Logan County Airport.

The Logan County Airport is the site for food, music, the beer tent, and of course, the balloons. Barr explains the balloon launches happen several times throughout the weekend can be an incredible site when they all go off.

This year offers better than 30 balloons with the annual special balloon the Chamber always brings in. Barr indicates balloonists come from Lincoln and then stretch across the country to the world to be a part of the annual festival.

The evening balloon launches are followed by a glow at dusk. According to Barr, the balloonists will land at various points around Logan County and be brought back to get set up again for their glow at dusk.
