Property owners and taxpayers are excited about the possibility of a property tax freeze from the state but local school leader is voicing his concern over the matter.
Superintendent of Lincoln High School Robert Bagby says as a property owner and tax payer, he is for the property tax freeze, but when it comes to his professional interests, Lincoln High School, he has a number of issues with a potential two year freeze on property value increases.

Thanks to the education sales tax that has been in place in Logan County for several years now, Bagby says they committed to lowering their property tax levy on their taxpayers. He says a freeze of any kind is going to be very concerning for Lincoln High School.

As it relates to the overall financial health of Lincoln High School, Bagby says things look good, but he doesn't expect the state's finances to improve any time soon, which is going to be detrimental to other districts.
