The Governor will stay at the bargaining table to represent taxpayers in negotiations with the state’s unions.
That’s after the House failed to gather enough votes for a veto override of Senate Bill 1229, the so-called no strike-no lockout bill supported by Democrats and the Unions.

The veto override required 71 votes, but several Democrats either voted no, didn’t vote, or were not present.
