#EvanStrong Foundation Hosting Community 'Lift'

It was a year ago this weekend tragedy struck a local family and to commemorate the memory a loved one, a local group is organizing a community "lift".

This Sunday marks the one year anniversary of the death of Clinton High School student Evan Workman, who took his own life Sept. 6, 2014. His father Randy Workman says shortly after it happened, the #EvanStrong Foundation was formed and this weekend they are having a community lift at Cross Fit Influence.

Workman says the event is set up so you don't even have to come to work out. He says they have organized some food and drinks to be at the facility and there will be plenty of people to interact with.

The cost to lift is $5 and t-shirts are available for $20.

The #EvanStrong Foundation recently received accreditation as a non-for-profit 501-C-3 organization. Find out more about the Foundation next week on Regional Radio News.
