The 2015-16 school year is in full swing and one local district is looking at an unusual spike in enrollment.
Thanks to a larger than normal freshman class, Mike Williams, Superintendent of Maroa-Forsyth schools indicates they have a spike in their high school enrollment. He says that combined with a large sophomore class, that is providing some unique challenges in their staffing.

Despite the spike in enrollment combined with the challenges of funding from the State of Illinois, Williams remains confident in their teachers abilities.

Williams says the staff turnover this year was not any more than in years past. He notes they were fortunate to have a few part time staffers that were able to find full time employment, and he wishes them well.
