Neither Rory McIlroy nor Jordan Spieth played a golf tournament over the weekend, and yet McIlroy took the No. 1 spot in the world back from Spieth.
Even more befuddling, there wasn't even a PGA Tour event as the tour had the week off before the final two events of the season over the next two weeks.
Don't expect any of this to change any time soon, either. Right now, the two are closer in points than any 1-2 combination in the history of the world rankings. McIlroy has 11.9826 points. Spieth has 11.9596.
