Rams' RB Gurley Could Be Back Vs Redskins

width=>Rams Not Ruling RB Gurley Out Vs Redskins

Fresh off an overtime win over the Seahawks, the St. Louis Rams' stock continues to rise. After sitting out Week 1, rookie running back Todd Gurley, who is coming off an ACL tear, is not being ruled out for Sunday's game against the Redskins.

And that's coming from coach Jeff Fisher.

When the Rams used the 10th-overall pick to select Gurley, they knew there was a chance he wouldn't be completely healed from the ACL injury that occurred last November. About a week prior to the beginning of the season, Fisher announced that Gurley wouldn't play in the season opener. A few days later, Gurley mentioned that it might be wise to wait a few more weeks before making his debut.

Now, Gurley is saying that he's close to returning.

On Sunday, the Rams relied on Benny Cunningham to run the football. He got the bulk of the carries (16), but only picked up 45 yards.

>>Giants DE Pierre-Paul Missing Parts of Middle Finger, Thumb

After Jason Pierre-Paul's Fourth of July fireworks accident, which resulted in the amputation of his index finger, Giants co-owner John Mara said that he didn't know how many fingers Pierre-Paul actually has.

Pierre-Paul finally reported to the Giants last week and underwent a physical. And now, it appears the Giants know how many fingers are on Pierre-Paul's hand.

According to ESPN, Pierre-Paul is missing more than just his index finger. He's also missing a portion of his thumb.

After taking his physical with the team last week, Pierre-Paul didn't sign his franchise tender. Pierre-Paul reportedly returned to Florida to get himself into playing shape until he's ready to make his return to the field. But according to an earlier ESPN report, some members of the Giants organization fear that Pierre-Paul could miss the entire season.

This latest report only adds fuel to that fear.

Last season, Pierre-Paul recorded 12.5 sacks. He has 42 sacks in his career. On Sunday, in a last-second loss to the Cowboys, the Giants defense hit Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo just once.
