Karle Koritz (right) has announced he will seek election in the 2016 primary as DeWitt County's Circuit Judge.

Koritz indicates he has been serving as an the appointed Judge in DeWitt County, however, his role changed recently as he has sat in for the Piatt County Circuit Judge over a conflict there.

Koritz explains his role will entail hearing felony cases as well as taking care of the administrative duties of the office. He would be the only Circuit Judge in the County.

The Circuit Judge can be a challenging position and one that requires a high quality individual. Koritz hopes the public will be able to see those qualities in his time in the position.

Koritz also feels he is a good fit for the position because he is a native to Clinton. He says he grew up in the community and now he is raising his family here and knows the challenges facing the community.
