Good Harvest Weather Ahead

 width=As harvest progress begins to pick up around Illinois, state Climatologist Jim Angel says favorable weather should continue right into early Octobe

After a record wet spring and early summer, things have turned dryer, especially in areas of Western Illinois, but Angel says for the most part precipitation has been about normal since late July and soil moisture is in great shape heading into the fall season.

As of last Sunday about 13% of the state’s corn has been harvested and the bean harvest is just getting underway in a few areas.
