Clinton FFA Uses Apple n' Pork Funds For Scholarships

One of the most popular foods at the annual Apple n' Pork festival is the Clinton FFA's pork chop stand. Located on the 4-H fairgrounds, thousands venture across the covered bridge of the homestead grounds to the fairgrounds for the FFA's annual offering.

Jameson Holt is the Clinton chapter of FFA's leader and says they use the fund they raise to support their students efforts at the FFA annual convention and other endeavors they take on throughout the year.

The Clinton FFA Chapter has around 80 members and Holt attributes much of that health to community support, but also to a new program they started down in the junior high school ranks. Holt indicates he has about 17 Jr. High students this year.

The Clinton FFA was also raffling off a couple of restored tractors that Central Illinois Ag received via a trade. Those drawing will be next June at the State FFA Convention.
